Where we work

Local chicken ecotypes are sampled from two distinct, geographically separated areas.  Regions differ ecologically, economically and socially and birds from each region show distinct variation.
Horro district, villages surrounding Shambu.  Approx. 300 km west of Addis Ababa
Jarso district, villages surrounding Harar.  Approx. 500 km east of Addis Ababa
