Lisa Luu and Becca Mckown, two BBSRC MSc students The University of Liverpool, have joined the team for one month.  Lisa and Bec will participate in the Horro field sampling and gain first hand experience working in the laboratory at EIAR.  Both come to the project with a keen interest in parasitology and are looking forward to investigating the prevalence of ectoparasites, haemoparasites and endoparasites in village chickens.  Lisa will continue with the project upon returning to Liverpool, where she will work on a collaborative project with Dr Damer Blake, Royal Veterinary College London, to further characterise the Eimeria isolates collected in the field.
