Professor Pete Kaiser (project co-investigator) and Lisa Rothwell, from the Roslin Institute University of Edinburgh spent two weeks, May 2 -17, 2012 in the laboratory and helping with fieldwork .
After a “relaxing” few days of laboratory work in International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) – the Ethiopian Institute for Agricultural Research (EIAR) – Liverpool joint chicken health lab in Debre Zeit (during which Pete gave a seminar on Avian Immunology and Vaccinology to ILRI Ethiopia staff in Addis and to partners n Debre Zeit), Pete and Lisa then headed to Jarso with the rest of the team to undertake sampling in the 4 study villages in that region.
